Nov 20-23, 2008. We are going in to our 7th
year of the SF BAY AREA SALSA CONGRESS and
starting registration early this year so
that we can offer our students, dancers, and
friends the special deal of $199 for FULL
CONGRESS and HOTEL! I will send out an email
announcing when the site goes live and you
can all take advantage of this amazing deal.
As usual, we are providing you with amazing
dance talent but check out our live music
line up.

It's time for PB&G's
Annual Multi-Dance Contest in the
Bay Area! Open to everyone, all
levels!
The Rules
The format is Jack & Jill, and
each person participating must
demonstrate a knowledge of the
following dances:
Merengue, Cha Cha, Bachata
and of course, SALSA!
All dances will be judged
equally and each couple will
dance to 45 seconds of each
style of dance, both in a group
and just with their partner.
3 couples will
be selected each night. If any
person does not qualify, they
can compete as many times until
they do.
4 weeks of Qualifying,
all at a HOT SALSA FRIDAY:

FINALS: APRIL 4
You do not need to prepare any
routine and you do not need a
dance partner to participate.
In the Jack & Jill Style of
contest, you are to showcase
your talent and knowledge of
each dance with ANY partner you
may select. Each night of
competition, each follower will
draw their partner for that
night from a list of names, and
that will be their partner for
that night's contest. THIS WILL
NOT BE YOUR PARTNER FOR THE
FINALS.
Each couple selects by lotto
their music for their Dance
Demonstration. DJ music
pre-selected by DJ Fab Fred.
Each person will be judged both
solely and as a couple.
You are being judged on Natural
Rhythm, Partnering Technique,
Capturing the Essence of each
Dance, Presentation & Style.
This is an OPEN LEVEL. Amateurs
may compete alongside of
Professionals.
$1000 cash plus
trophies and prizes.
All participants must pay the
HSF entrance fee of $12 to
compete.
